Earlier this month, AV Engineering have been featured on Channel 4’s new show, Snackmasters. We helped Daniel Clifford, proprietor of Midsummer House Restaurant with its twin Michelin stars, to create the famous KitKat mould.

In the first episode of the programme, two top chefs competed to recreate a replica of the chocolate-covered wafer bar, before being judged by the staff and management of Nestlé. Daniel Clifford from Cambridge’s Midsummer House and Vivek Singh from Westminster’s Cinnamon Club went head-to-head in the programme, in an effort to recreate the perfect KitKat.

Daniel came to AV Engineering with a request to come up with an exact mould of KitKat, striving to get it precisely right. Our team of skilled engineers have taken the measurements and came up with the tool. Once the tool has been made, the mould was manufactured using PETG. As a result, Daniel was very happy with the product, as it reflected the original mould perfectly. The Chef Patron then continued to recreate one of the most popular British snacks.
